December 30, 2012 – “Resolved: Introduction to Daniel Series”

December 16, 2012 – “Beyond Limits: The Joy of Christmas”

November 11, 2012 – “An Honorable Service” – Veterans Day Message
The message for this week begins with our tribute to the Veterans of our own congregation. Following “My Country Tis of Thee”…you will notice a host of Veterans stand around the stage. It was a powerful reminder of all of our Veterans! The message follows their example and applies that to our faith in Christ.

November 4, 2012 – “Answers: God’s Answer in our Salvation”

October 28, 2012 – “Answers: God’s Answer to our Prayers”
This message took place during an important time in the life of our church as we are weathering a few staff changes. Those times of change are unsettling in the life of a church, but God can take His church from fear to a wonderful future. The message below was an emotional address aimed at the family of God at Enoree Baptist Church. The hope of this message was that our people would be inspired and challenged to turn their hearts to God in this time of change. The response following the prayer on the video was overwhelming as our people got on their faces before the Lord seeking His plan for our congregation. It is often during the most painful of times that healing begins. That healing began during our service on Sunday and we are now called to the duty of seeking Him daily as He answers our prayers.

October 21, 2012 – “Answers: God’s Answer for Life’s Challenging Questions”
In our third message in this series we are considering our response to life’s challenging questions – questions we may not even anticipate today. So how can we live a faith that will define our decisions? The response is to have a truly Biblical Worldview. This message is an introduction to what it means to have a Biblical Worldview. I encourage you to allow this message to lead you into the further study on what it means to truly think biblically in facing life’s challenging questions. This message applies well to our nation’s events as we near the 2012 election.

October 14, 2012 – “Answers: God’s Answer for Life’s Losses”
In this second sermon in our “Answers” series, we consider God’s Answer for Life’s Losses. Each and every one of us will face the loss of a loved one and the question is, “Are we prepared for that challenge in our life?” By studying Psalm 30, we are going to discover how God’s Word speaks to this challenge in our life and how we can respond as God shows us in His Word!

October 7, 2012 – “Answers: God’s Answer to Life’s Addictions”
In this brand new series entitled “Answers” we will be searching God’s Word for God’s Answers to Life’s Questions. God’s Word truly does speak to the challenges of life. In this first message, we are beginning with a real issue facing so many people – addiction. What does God’s Word say about the issue of addiction? Is there hope for those bound by addiction?
As you watch this message, know that there are countless other verses that speak to this issue. I will upload the “Battle Plan for Addiction” as a resource you can download (as I mention in the message). I am praying for all of you who are personally impacted by addition in your own life or in the lives of those around you.

September 30, 2012 – “Fresh from the Source”
This message on John 15 encourages us to draw fresh from the source of Jesus Christ. Jesus described Himself as a “true vine”. So as Christ followers, our strength and life comes from being connected to that source of life – Jesus Himself.

September 23, 2012 – “Set Apart”
In this final message in our study of 2 Corinthians, we see the call of God’s Word on our lives to be “Set Apart”. Weaving together the final two chapters of 2 Corinthians with the call of Isaiah in Isaiah 6, this message speaks to our responsibilities in the journey of sanctification. We are called to repent of our sins, confess our sin as we examine our hearts, and live in complete surrender.

September 16, 2012 – “The Grace Treasure: Grace that Carries”
This final message in a three week emphasis on the grace of God focuses on the fact that grace will carry us through trials. Paul shared of his “thorn in the flesh”…but what gave him great comfort was the reality that God’s grace was sufficient even in the presence of that trial. I pray this message will encourage those of you going through trials and that it will prepare the rest of us who will surely face trials in the days to come. Grace changes everything!

September 9, 2012 – “The Grace Treasure: Grace that Motivates”
In our second week in the study of GRACE, we discover that a right understanding of grace motivates our worship, our walk, and even our witness. In this message, we will cover the first of those three areas – our worship and walk. When we rightly understand the impact of grace, our worship is deeper and unhindered. When grace is the motivation of my worship, external factors such as song preferences or even my own life stresses cannot keep me from worshiping. That comes from a much deeper level in my relationship with God. In addition to that, when I rightly grasp the grace of God, I am called to and empowered to live the life that God is calling me to live.
I pray you will be challenged by the verses of Scripture used in this message and that you will be amazed by the wonderful grace of God.

September 2, 2012 – “The Grace Treasure” – 2 Corinthians 12
As we continue this study of the letter of 2nd Corinthians, we come to a promise given to Paul by God. That promise was this – “My grace is sufficient for you”. This promise came after Paul shared that he was suffering from a “thorn in the flesh”. We have all experienced the pains of this life (whether firsthand or as we have walked with others through pain). And yet this one promise changed everything for Paul. So given that reaction by Paul, do we really understand grace as Paul did? Does grace impact our lives in the same way that it impacted Paul?
Realizing that these are questions worth answering, this message focuses in on that one teaching – GRACE. I pray this message will begin to stir your heart towards the wonderful truths of God’s grace freely given to all who will trust in Christ as their Savior.

August 26, 2012 – “Accepting the Mission” – 2 Corinthians 11
This message from chapter 11 is a two-part message that I shared in our morning and evening worship services this week. It is a message that calls us to “Accept the Mission” of living for Christ as we understand what that mission is. In the first sermon, the focus is entirely on how our lives are changed by knowing the mission leader. In part two, we discuss how the gospel changes our lives and the goal of that mission – glorying God!

Part One

Part Two

August 19, 2012 – “Winning the Battle” – 2 Corinthians 10
This chapter from the book of 2 Corinthians deal with the reality of spiritual warfare in the life of believers. If you have ever felt like you are losing the battle of trying to live for Christ, then you have experienced spiritual warfare. The Apostle Paul helps us to see that this is a normal aspect of living for Christ in this fallen world. But he also offers us several keys for “Winning the Battle”. I pray that God will use this message to challenge you in your walk with God.

August 12, 2012 – “Joy Abounding” – 2 Corinthians 8
In our ongoing study of the letter of 2 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul offers a challenge to the believers at Corinth (and us today) to serve God joyfully. In chapter 9, Paul says that “God loves a cheerful giver”. In other words, serving/giving/loving God is a JOY! As you watch this message today, I pray that God will stir in your heart the JOY that can be discovered by serving Christ daily! If it’s not a joy to be a believer, then what’s missing? Open your Bible and study along with me today.

August 5, 2012 – “Deep Impact” – 2 Corinthians 6

July 29, 2012 – “Looking Backward, Looking Forward” – 2 Corinthians 5:12-21
Our message for this week focuses on our desire to grow in obedience by both looking backward and looking forward. We look backward and discover what was accomplished for us in Christ. We look forward and discover what God calls us to be and do. This dual focus impacts who we are today and who we are striving to be into tomorrow.

July 22, 2012 – “Leave Room for Dessert” – 2 Corinthians 5:1-8
In our continuing study of the book of 2 Corinthians, we arrive at chapter 5 where Paul challenges our perspective – to have a Heavenly perspective. Using the imagery of leaving room after the meal for the joy of dessert, this message encourages us to look forward with perspective, promise, preparation, and pleasure.

July 15, 2012 – “Great Discoveries” – 2 Corinthians 4:1-6
This message focuses on several great discoveries that the Apostle Paul shares with us in 2 Corinthians 4, discoveries that can radically impact our daily lives. In this message you’ll hear about the hope made available in Christ, the good news that changes everything, the light that shines in our dark world, and the newfound purpose for our lives.

July 1, 2012 – “Experiencing Liberty – 2 Corinthians”
In this 4th of July week message, we are going to discover the liberty that is available in Christ. We’ll be touching on a factor that you’ll hear again in a few weeks – the fact that we can experience HOPE through Christ. That’s a consistent message in 2 Corinthians and one that we need to hear today. So I hope you’ll enjoy studying along with me as I share this message from 2 Corinthians.

June 24, 2012 – “Standing at the Crossroad: 2 Corinthians 3”

June 17, 2012 – “Life Matters Matter to God: The Reference of a Lifetime”
This Father’s Day 2012 message focuses on how we measure the impact of our lives. As we continue our study of 2 Corinthians, Paul pointed to the lives changed all around him. As parents, we can look at our children’s lives to measure our own testimony and the impact of our obedience before the Lord. Paul also challenges all of us to find our sufficiency in Christ alone – not in work, paychecks, or achievements.

June 10, 2012 – “Life Matters Matter to God: The Aroma of Christ”
This series focuses on the book of 2 Corinthians with the idea that our everyday lives matter to God. In this message, we will be studying from 2 Corinthians 2 where Paul says that our lives are the fragrance of Christ.

May 13, 2012 – “Faithful to the Finish”
This is the 2nd to last message in our “Story” series through the Bible. This message focuses on the Apostle Paul’s example of living faithfully for the Lord no matter what challenges he faced in life. This message was delivered on Mother’s Day 2012. It certainly applies to mothers – but to all believers as well!

May 06, 2012 – “The Ministry of a Lifetime”
This message focuses on the life and ministry of Paul as a life changed, used, taught, and humbled by God. The key question of the message is: “Can and will God use my life?”

April 15, 2012 – “The Daily News”
This message is based on the story of Acts as the New Testament church was just getting started. As the people were filled with the Holy Spirit, they were changed and it was evident in the way they came together!

April 8, 2012 – “Nothing Hidden”
This message focuses on all that is discovered in the Easter story. Salvation can now be found. God’s love can be found. Also, victory in our lives can be found in the hope of Easter.

Message #27 in “The Story” Series

April 1, 2012 – “Broken and Poured Out”
This “Palm Sunday 2012” Message focuses on the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem on the week before the cross. The message walks through several key events in that week (including the Lord’s Supper, the arrest, and the cross).
