Welcome to the ministry website of Michael Hodge – michaelrhodge.com. If you are looking for BLOG entries – click on the link to the right. Thank you for stopping by – I hope I can encourage you through the site.
This is simply a place where I can collect messages and thoughts – and I’m certainly grateful for the occasional visitor!! Several years ago, I wanted to have a one-stop source for posting previous messages, discipleship materials/links, and a place to share my thoughts.  So that’s what led to this site.

This site features a Blog, Sermon Audio, Sermon Videos, some Discipleship Teaching, and hopefully a place to stir your thoughts. I have a number of my sermon files and other media on the site so that it is easy for you to access that information when it is desired. I pray these messages and discipleship materials will encourage you in your walk with Christ.

Our family has been serving in ministry since 1998 when my wife Amanda and I were married following graduation from Anderson University. We’ve served in a variety of roles over the years in ministry. We’ve climbed rock walls and played paintball in student ministry. We’ve held both volunteer and career roles in adult ministry. We’ve served briefly in an international setting as well as serving as a Senior Pastor in a local church. In this chapter of our ministry, God has given us the opportunity to return home – to serve as Associate Pastor of Missions and Discipleship at Berea First Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. God has been faithful in continuing to use us in ministry throughout our marriage. It’s our prayer that God will use us in ministry to impact lives for eternity through the teaching ministries of the church and outreach into the community. We have two children that are currently in middle school through Connections Academy.

Berea First Baptist Church, Greenville, SC

Our family serves at Berea First Baptist Church. We joined the staff in October 2013 and have been blessed by the opportunity to serve on familiar territory. The reason is because BFBC is BFBC Logoactually right where I grew up. Over the years I have had the privilege of serving at BFBC through internships, interims, and now as a full-time staff member. My prayer is that God will somehow use me to lead BFBC to serve Christ in the context of 2014 just as faithfully as it has done for decades in the past. Having grown up in this great church, I want to see it thrive today just as it has over the course of my lifetime and before! If you are looking for a great church where there is a place for you to Connect with Christ – visit with us at Berea First Baptist Church this week.
